Alfonso

An admiral in the Valuan Armada and one of the sons of Empress Teodora.
  He acts like he is the greatest admiral the armada has ever seen,
but the cold harsh reality is that he is perhaps the worst admiral.  The only
reason he attained the rank of admiral is that his mother is the empress.
He is a real pretty boy and you can expect him to cause trouble for
Vyse throughout the journey.
