One thing that probably hasn't been done before is taking several 20 or 5 dollar bills and writing on them: "play Skies of Arcadia" or "contact Sega for a Skies of Arcadia sequel".

Then go to the store and use those bills. They'll change hands hundreds of times, and its a good way to get people aware of SOA.

I doubt any of the bills you read had a good idea on it.

I doubt the average bill-reader knows what Skies of Arcadia is... or cares.

And if they did end up googling it, and they find out it's some dreamcast/gamecube game, it is unlikely they will go out and buy one.
If you saw a bill that said "Eat KerPow Green Beans!" would you do it?

If you saw "play so-and-so game" on a bill, you'd probably look into the matter. I've never been motivated to eat green beans of any kind.

Skies of Arcadia is that underground game played by cool dudes. Cool

It's a cult classic.

None of the people who can authorize another SoA game have much use for American currency. Nor can they read anything that might be written in English on those bills.

Would the store clerk even accept money that's been scribbled on? I mean, it would be the same as giving him a pile of ripped up paper, and saying it used to be a five dollar bill.

Also, it's not as if I stare at my money, to see if there's anything written on it. I'd just immediately put it in my wallet, and spend it next chance I get.

I take it you've never actually worked with money.

Are you kidding? I've been broke my entire life! All I can do is pay with imaginary money. But that's not accepted in most stores... V_V

Once I had to accept a wad of moist dollar bills from an obese child wearing those plasticky Halloween fake boobs. I washed my hands for about ten minutes after that.

One time, I gave moonkenzie some money and she touched my hand. I didn't wash my hands for a week.
