Most of you probably don't remember me, I'm the guy who posted some screenshots of my Delphinus based Half Life map. Well, I've been working with Half Life 2, and thought I'd show off the latest test shot...

Props to ADNova for the graphic extractor/game editor. Without his help and program, this wouldn't look half as good.

Enjoy!

Steve

Looks nice. You should post more shots. Maybe we could help you out with the map. We could possibly give you critiques from a mappers standpoint, as some of us here (myself included) are in fact mappers.

Thank you. Right now, all I have is the bridge, but I'm almost finished with it; I need to finish the consoles, put the engine telegraphs, wheel. compass and banners in, and the captain's perch. Once done, I'll start assembling the hull and turrets (I have several incomplete and one mostly complete delphinus maps for HL1).

As soon as I figure out what I actually want to do with the map, besides making a cool environment to walk around it, I'll gladly share. I'm definitely not new to mapping; I've been at it since doom 1, though I've never put anything out there; I mainly map to see if I can do it. Smile

Yes. And, I'm doing it from screenshots and sketches taken during game play; While I may have the textures, I don't have any other references other than the hi-res screens from SOAworld, and sketches made during game play.

I've firgured out the hull in previous, Half Life 1 versions; It's getting all the spaces to fit in the hull that's the hard part!

More Screen Shots...

From the port bridge wing (That's left for you landlubbers), looking in:
(No, you can't get there in the console game)

The Bridge, showing off the Engine Telegraph...

And, the captain's perch, and more banners...
(Yes, I know it's dark)
